SNS Nails Explained
SNS is also known as the Signature Nail System. It is a brand and synonymously referred to as the dipping powder nail treatment.
A new set of SNS nails starts with preparing your cuticles and the nail beds using an e-file nail drill. Plastic nail tips are glued onto the nail beds for extra length.
The technician applies multiple layers of liquid bond agent and colour powder, one after another, to bring about the colours.
It’s best to remove the set entirely at the next nail appointment. Nails are typically soaked in a bowl of acetone or wrapped up in acetone-soaked cotton pieces. The acetone will dissolve products on your nails.
FAQs
How are SNS nails differ?
SNS adds strength to natural nails. It supports false tips for extra length. It’s thicker than shellac gel. SNS may help improve the appearance of uneven nail beds and twisted tips.
Which nail treatment is right for me?
We offer lacquer polish, shellac gel, acrylic sculpture, Bio-gel/hard gel sculpture, and SNS/dipping powder nails. We can recommend a suitable treatment based on the desired finish, state of your nails and nail care routines.
Do you do SNS refill?
The standard SNS or dipping powders aren’t designed for refills. Refill sets don’t have the same strength and easily become lifted. Until the technology improved, we opt for complete soak off and reapply.
